The preface overviews the content and the organization of the book. Chapter 1 introduces the topic "Storage Networks" by the means of examples. Based on this Chapter 1 presents the structure of the entire book and discusses which subjects are not covered. The table of contents, the list of figures and tables, the index, and the glossary provide more insight in the content.
